Sandeels, fishing hook down. Made with Bucktail and E Z body mylar tube covered with UV Resin which makes it translucent and enhances the integral flash !

A friend asked me to tie a selection of flies of my recommendation to get him started in Saltwater fly fishing.

Bucktail Sandeels

These Bucktail Sandeels are weighted so they sink positively and fish in the zone where the fish would expect to find them. Tied on a size 2 Daiichi stainless hook they are approx. 3.5 inches long, just the right size for a marauding predator !
